SanDimas.net would like to offer our deepest condolences to Louie Pompei's fiance and his family.  We decided to include Louie in our website as he is a part of the history of San Dimas and should not and will not be forgotten. He was killed in an attempt to stop an armed robbery takeover at the Von's in Via Verde on June 9, 1995.

Commuters drive past the 57/210 interchange and may see the sign or they may walk/drive past the memorial across Via Verde Park and not realize that this was a man that made the ultimate sacrifice for San Dimas. We have compiled memorials, details about the robbery and the shooting.
